Russell Brand was charged on April 4, 2025 in the United Kingdom with various sexual offenses. He is currently on trial for the following sexual offenses: three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault. The trial began on October 14, 2026.
This market will resolve to “Yes” if, by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, Russell Brand is convicted of at least one of these sexual offenses charged in this prosecution — whether by a guilty verdict or by pleading guilty to such an offense. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.
This market will resolve to “No” if every charge in this case is dismissed, withdrawn, or ended by a pardon or other act of clemency before a verdict is returned, or if the case is otherwise resolved without Brand being convicted of or pleading guilty to one of the listed charges. If no verdict has been returned and no guilty plea to such a charge has been entered by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “No”.
This market will resolve according to the initial verdict or guilty plea in this case. Sentencing and any appeals will have no bearing on the resolution of this market.
The primary resolution source will be the official record of the ruling court; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
